I bawled when I put my daughter's dolls in the attic when she entered Middle school, and have those thoughts of "lasts" every single first day of school... I think it's never too soon to remember the lasts, and that it'll help you move on when the time comes. So this season has been filled with "last Christmas/New Year's/etc at our current home" type thinking, and trying to avoid the actual lasts, as there will undoubtedly be some if we're moving half-way round the world I've moved about 10 times, so like Shary I don't tend to look at things as lasts, but even when you think this isn't the last, you know it might be a long time until X happens again and that doesn't make it easier either.

We enjoy each place we live and look forward to new adventures with each move. I try not to think about the "lasts" because, they just may not be the "last"!! :) Either way, they only make you sad! You never know where God will bring you, but you can enjoy each day He gives you no matter where you are! Enjoy the adventure and cherish the memories!!
