Birthday Wishes
Last Thursday was my 23rd birthday. It was a good day! Many birthday wishes from many people…and if that was you,
THANK YOU!!
After much thought (5 minutes) i realized that a total of about 12 said “Happy Birthday” or called to wish me a happy birthday. I am not at all saying that i want more of it next year, i am just saying it.
So i went on a search to see how many other ways i was wished happy birthday….here is the break down…..
98 – facebook birthday wishes
13 – twitter birthday wishes
72 – text birthday wishes
12 – spoken birthday wishes (phone or in person)
This is the time we live in.

Wow! That is a lot of people wishing you happy birthday! :-) You are very fortunate to have so many friends. Have a great week!
ummmm…are you forgetting that you were serenaded from atop one of the landings at the church…come on…that has to have been the highlight of your day…so add to your list, 1 amazing rendition of the “happy birthday” song
from your earlier post about how you most prefer one-on-one communication (electronically), that seems exactly right. or, maybe more texts than facebooks, and that would be right :)

I realized that this sounded very vain. I am just dumbfounded by the change in the world that facebook, twitter and text outweigh the in person or over the phone.
rachel – yes, yours is out of the box and deserves a list of its own!
Why did I onyl send a Facebook message? I know youre a textaholic and totally shouldve communicated that way :D
Hope it was a fantabulous bday!
Madge and I were going to pony express you a fruit cake and wire you a candygram delivered by a landshark, but alas an edict came forth from the king and we were forced to contain ourselves to electronic communication…….so, such was the twittering explained…the end!
doug’s last blog post..Way too much time spent; or maybe not
Such a simple and true post. High Tech will never really replace High Touch even though it does help us stay ‘in touch’ better than ever.
