Spybook

Most of you call these Moleskine’s…for that is what their official name is. But i call them “spybooks.” It started for me about 4 years ago. i went to a small group of kids in high school and they were all carrying them. The little black Moleskine books. In them were thoughts jotted down, songs, lists of favourites and least favourites….it was their everything. And soon it became mine.

I went to Barnes and Noble today during my afternoon break from church to buy another one. I go through them about once every 3 months. It is where all of my thoughts are. The one i purchased today is my 12th….

there are rules to the spybook….anyone can read it. you could just pick it up and read any part in it EXCEPT for the folded pages.

i like to think that my spybook is my paper blog…it is the uncensored blog. The one that gets all the frustrations before i think about how to say things in a politically correct way. It gets the brunt of what i think and feel. i carry it with me at all times…it is where i get my life from. an instant outlet

do you have something that never leaves your side to carry your thoughts?

Yes and I guard it with my life! I jot down notes, thoughts, ideas, observations, blog inspirations, etc. I don’t leave home without it!

Yup, I jumped on board the Mokeskine train earlier this year and I love mine. Like you, mine contains the stuff that happens in my head, the stuff I write down without thinking or editing. Some of it is pretty messed up, but it’s me. I love mine.
